Our Story

Established in 1980, Burlington Jewellery is a small, family-run business that first opened its doors on Collins Street, Melbourne. Born from a broader antiques experience and a passion for antique jewellery, Burlington carved a distinctive niche in the Melbourne jewellery market.

From the beginning, our signature approach combined outstanding value with a diverse and eclectic range of jewellery styles, attracting collectors, couples, and jewellery enthusiasts alike.

In the late 1980s, Burlington relocated from the CBD to the city’s antique hub on High Street, Armadale. This period was brief but set the stage for an ambitious new direction.

A bold decision to bring antique jewellery into a mainstream shopping mall led to the 1990 opening of Burlington at Chadstone Shopping Centre, Melbourne’s most iconic retail destination. Making antique jewellery accessible and affordable to a wider audience proved transformative, establishing Chadstone as Burlington’s flagship store—a position it holds to this day.

In 2008, Burlington expanded with a second location at Westfield Doncaster, replicating the successful Chadstone model. The Doncaster store quickly became a favourite among local jewellery lovers.

In 2014, following a long-held ambition to return to the city, Burlington opened a third store on Little Collins Street, Melbourne CBD. This location allowed us to combine our city origins with our proven retail expertise, offering clients a curated range of antique, vintage, and contemporary jewellery.

Across all three stores, Burlington Jewellery showcases locally sourced and globally acquired pieces, with many unique and one-of-a-kind items spanning from the 1800s to the 21st century. From antique treasures to modern luxury, our collections offer something for every jewellery enthusiast.
