1. Warranties
We offer a 3-month warranty on all items—new and secondhand—unless sold “AS IS.”

All products comply with Victorian consumer guarantees.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by excessive or inappropriate use.

Jewellery altered by another jeweller voids the warranty, as we cannot control or endorse work done by third parties.

Antique, vintage, coloured stone, and organic jewellery may be fragile and suitable only as dress jewellery, not for everyday wear.
If you are unsure whether a piece suits your intended use, our experienced staff can provide guidance.
2. Returns Policy

Exchanges or store credit are offered if items are returned in the same condition within two weeks of purchase, with packaging, certificates, and valid proof of purchase.

No refunds are given for change of mind or unsuitable gifts.

For items with major faults or discrepancies, we provide a refund, repair, exchange, or store credit. Contact us within one week of receiving the item.
You can contact the store where the item was purchased or any of our three store locations. Always retain your receipt as proof of purchase.
3. Layby Terms

Standard layby duration is 4 weeks with a minimum 20% deposit, applicable to non-sale items.

Additional discounts are not applied if a sale occurs after a layby begins.

Layby extensions may be arranged with management for flexibility, provided regular payments are maintained.

Layby items may be exchanged for items of equal or greater value without changing the original layby duration.

A 20% layby cancellation fee applies, so please choose carefully.
4. Inter-Store Transfers

Occasionally, we may transfer stock between stores for customer convenience.

Once the item arrives at the requested store, we will provide a courtesy call. You will have a pre-arranged period to collect the item before it is returned to stock.

Stock transfers are offered only for genuine purchase interest.

Burlington Jewellery reserves the right to deny holds or inter-store transfers for any items.
